Tunis, December 2, 2024 – The Executive Director of the International Federation for Rights and Development (IFRD) took part in the 9th edition of the Karama Tunisia Human Rights Film Festival, held in the capital city of Tunis. This participation underscores IFRD’s commitment to utilizing art as a powerful tool for raising awareness and advocating for human rights issues.
During the festival, the Executive Director engaged in several activities, including specialized workshops focused on human rights topics. Additionally, they served as a member of the jury for documentary films, contributing to the evaluation and selection of outstanding works highlighting critical human rights issues.
The event also featured extensive discussions with Tunisian human rights advocates, where the primary focus was on addressing gender-based violence against women worldwide. Participants explored ways to strengthen collaborative efforts to combat this issue, particularly through cultural and media initiatives.
