Brussels, 11 November 2025 — The International Federation for Rights and Developments (IFRD) invites journalists to two key moments in Brussels tomorrow focused on the catastrophic humanitarian and human-rights situation in Sudan:
1) European Parliament joint hearing (DEVE–DROI) — 11:00–12:30
- What: Public hearing on Sudan featuring rights defenders and humanitarian leaders; IFRD has facilitated the participation of a Sudanese women’s rights activist to deliver first-hand testimony.
- Confirmed speakers include: 2007 Sakharov laureate Salih Mahmoud Osman, Ms Mona Rishmawi (UN FFM for Sudan, online), Mr Mohaned Mustafa El-Nour (CSW), Mr Eric Perdison (WFP, online), Ms Salwa Elsadik(Sudanese women’s rights activist, IFRD), and Mr Maciej Popowski (DG ECHO). European Parliament

2) Rally with Sudanese families of victims — 16:00
- What: Peaceful manifestation with hundreds of activists and Sudanese families of victims, calling for protection of civilians, accountability for atrocity crimes, and an end to impunity and enabling support.
- When: Tuesday, 11 November, 16:00 (CET).
- Where: Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Avenue Franklin Roosevelt 86, 1050 Brussels.
