Brussels, 11 May 2026
The International Federation for Rights and Development (IFRD) is pleased to announce that Judith Ramonet Blasi has joined the organisation as an Advocacy Intern for the next 12 weeks, strengthening IFRD’s work at the intersection of human rights, conflict, and European advocacy.
Judith joins IFRD with an academic background in global security and strategy and recent experience at the Andorran Embassy in Belgium and Andorra’s Mission to the European Union, where she developed a strong interest in how advocacy can translate complex security issues into political action at the European level.
Her areas of focus include gender-based violence in conflict settings, international human rights law, and the law of armed conflict, with particular attention to how legal frameworks are applied, and too often fail, in active war contexts. These priorities closely reflect IFRD’s commitment to rights-based advocacy on conflict, accountability, and the protection of civilians.
Alongside her policy and security background, Judith brings experience in communications and design, adding further capacity to IFRD’s work to make urgent human rights issues more visible, accessible, and impactful for policymakers and broader public audiences.
“I am really excited to be joining IFRD as an Advocacy Intern over the next 12 weeks. My focus on gender-based violence in conflict, international human rights law, and the law of war is what drew me to IFRD’s work, and I look forward to contributing both on advocacy and communications.”
At a time when human rights advocacy increasingly demands both policy depth and clear public communication, Judith’s arrival reinforces IFRD’s cross-cutting approach to European engagement. Her placement will support ongoing work on human rights, conflict-related harms, and evidence-based advocacy in Brussels and beyond.
